An Honorable Sunday

I am proud to announce that I was awarded “Outstanding Media Arts Student in Graphic Design” this past Sunday from RMU’s School of Communications and Information Systems.

It is always a humbling experience for me to have my work complimented and honored, especially by the amazing Media Arts faculty.

Other awards I had been fortunate to earn were “Best Portfolio” from my Senior Showcase and runner-up to “Best in Show” in the Media Art departments juried Gold Show.

Hello and welcome!

My name is Chelsea Hepfl, or Chel if you will. I’m a recent graduate of Robert Morris University with a BFA in Media Arts and a concentration in Graphic Design. Currently, I’m an Associate Graphic Designer for Tailored Marketing, Inc. after completing my internship with them this past summer/fall  as well as working weekends at my local catering company. I have also recently joined the AIGA and hope to begin networking within the expansive group in the near future.

Illustrator is my strongest tool, followed closely by InDesign and Photoshop. Digital illustrating is one of my favorite past times, but typography and layout design have stolen a place in my heart throughout my schooling years. Visit my portfolio pages for a look at some of my pieces!

When I’m not working, I’m visiting Starbucks, window-shopping online, cheering for the team of the week (March Madness is madness), playing with puppies, making terrible jokes, and watching Netflix.

In a previous life, I studied psychology, was the President of RMU’s Show Band, and Vice President of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band and Service Fraternity. I have participated in a number of service projects for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Toys for Tots, Adopt-A-Highway, Coaches Against Cancer, Hollow Oaks Land Trust, and the WPA Handbell Festival.

But, enough about me! Please enjoy the work throughout this site.
